Introduction

During the summer of 2022 the Preservation Foundation’s Anthony K. Baker interns and Sallie B. Phillips archival intern collaborated on a research project about the history of landscape design in Palm Beach. Each intern brought their background in landscape architecture, historic preservation, and history to this project. What follows is an abbreviated version of their 30-page report focusing on examples from each era that was examined. The interns also presented their findings to Town Council.
