Title

Moffett Residence, (Palm Beach, FL)

Description

The Moffett House is an example of Volk’s versatility and is considered one of the earliest Art Moderne structures on the island. Volk designed the house for James Moffett, the first Federal Housing Administrator under the Franklin D. Roosevelt administration. The client and Volk agreed upon a design that was both innovative and progressive. Moffett House was built directly on the oceanfront, a first for Palm Beach. The Moffett House was designated as landmark in 2013.
