Title

Troy Residence (Palm Beach, FL)

Description

This Everglades Island residence was commissioned by Carl E. Troy. To make the most of the location on the Intracoastal, Harding thoughtfully situated all the living areas with a lake view through plate glass sliding doors that open to the terrace and pool. The pool cabana was fully incorporated into the main house to allow for greater outdoor space along the lake. The guest bedroom is a versatile room that features a round table and four chairs for card playing. Florida Architecture (1960) stated: “Thoughtful planning, providing spaciousness within a compact area, embellishes a simple basic interior theme to produce a home that may reflect a charming intimacy at one moment or be opened to more festive occasions.”
